Djonma
Hir senHi, I'm Nicola, also known as Djon Ma. I've been a Buddhist since I took refuge at around 13-14, so that's 14-15 years now. I have a big love for cats and we have 3, though they're family cats and live with my parents, who live on Crete, so miles away so I don't really get to see them anymore. I'm currently unemployed due to disabilities, not really sure whether I'll ever be able to be employed in a 'normal' job again. I'm hoping to start a BA in Religious Studies with some history in February at the Open University, which will help with not having to attend lectures as that's what made me drop out of normal uni, because of my health. Dream Job... I don't know. I guess since I can't be a Nun (my boyfriend would object, and also I have many care needs), there's a strata of Tibetan society, lay people, who are one 'above' the rest of the people, not above really, but almost between normal people and monastic society. Those who give and support the monks, there's a special term for it probably but I don't know it. I would probably like that. Maybe working to translate, or something like that. I guess everyone says I want to be a translator. But there's not much else I can do really I don't think. Translate, maybe teach. But then I don't think I'll ever be good enough to teach someone anything. Weaknesses: far too many. Especially chocolate! d me a private message or compliment!
