After reading Daniel's book (Mastering the Core Teachings of the Buddha) I decided to give Vipassana a try. I did my first Vipassana retreat at the MBMC in Malaysia. The experience was great, highly recommended...

I had some interesting experiences while meditating, but to tell you the truth, I can not tell with certainty about my spiritual development... I rather to leave this matter in the hand on time and practice
