I generally practice anapanasati following Than. Bhikkhu's method, with an emphasis on concentration, and engage in metta and the other formal recollections, and sometimes stray into noting practice. I have a modest amount of retreat time, having sat for ten days at the longest. I have a fair bit of experience with Western Magick and continue to practice in that unruly tradition, though at this point meditation is my primary vehicle. I'm glad the maps exist as it helped me realize that, and spurred me to, practice that can be progressive, that it is more or less reproducible, that it can have a powerful impact on the psyche and that it can have a goal besides some watered-down New Age crap about "healing", but I also want to pitch the maps out the forty-fourth floor window at my office most of the time.
